Founder and President
JP Moery is Founder and President of The Moery Company. His career within the association space has
spanned more than 25 years and he’s a trusted resource for the nation’s leading organizations. He launched
The Moery Company in 2010 and has become a sought-after thought leader, speaker, and advisor to the
association profession.
JP helps nonprofits navigate today’s industry challenges by facilitating strategic meetings, association
roundtables, and organizational retreats throughout the year. He also conducts complimentary monthly
webinars on growth strategies for leaders in the association community. In 2017, he launched his highly
sought 1:1 Association Consulting Program for Senior Executives, which continues to grow. He has published
a number of ebooks, white papers, and industry articles; and, is currently writing a book on the critical need
for “association hustle” in an era where mega-shifts are ahead for the profession as a whole.
Previously, JP served as Senior Vice President at the US Chamber of Commerce where he oversaw the
Association Committee of 100, the prestigious network of association CEOs. He proceeded to expand upon
expertise in communications, as Executive Vice President, Association Relations for the digital
media company, SmartBrief.
Hailing from Hennessey, Oklahoma, JP is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma. An avid sports fan, JP volunteered as a softball coach for
nearly a decade and was recognized as a “Champion of Character” by Fairfax County, VA, for his leadership in youth athletics. His wife,
Diane, and daughters, Grace and Katie Jo live in Alexandria, VA.

Co-Founder and Operations Manager
Co-Founder and Operations Manager, Diane Moery oversees the accounting operations,
financialreporting and human resources for The Moery Company.Concurrently,Diane is a
Board Member for the HollinMeadows Partnership for Math and Science, an educational
nonprofit foundationand the Mt Vernon-Lee Chamber of Commerce.
Diane has more than 15 yearsof experience in the areas of policy and government
affairs. She served as LegislativeDirector to United States Senator Don Nickles and Senior
Vice President at Fierce, Isakowitz & Blalock – a strategic government relationsconsulting
firm.

Vice Presidents
Senior Vice President, Mike Thomas a business developmentprofessional with vast associationand
media experience, joined The Moery Companyin 2013. Mike manages the sales team that is responsible
for executing sponsorship and membership campaigns for our partners. Mike more than 20 years of
experience in business development, sales, and management. Mike has worked with key associations
includingthe Grocery ManufacturersAssociation, National EducationAssociation,and the National
Associationof Manufacturers. Preceding his alignment with The Moery Company, Mike was the Director
of Sales at BulletinMedia and Senior Sales Manager at SmartBrief.
Vice President, Elizabeth H. Johnson a member of The Moery Companyteam since its inceptionin
2010, is responsible for selling memberships and sponsorships for such organizationsas the National
Associationof Federal Credit Unions, ManufacturersAlliancefor Productivityand Innovationand Plastics
Industry Association.Elizabethhas led successful membership campaigns for our first client, Consumer
Specialty Products Association(CSPA)—meeting and exceeding membership goals each year. Prior to
The Moery Company,Elizabethworked within the associationsegment of Marriott’s prestigious global
sales team.

Business Development
Business Development Director, Bethany Murphyjoined the Moery team in 2014. A seasoned sales
professional, Bethany’sfocus is on membership and sponsorship campaigns for several Moery clients
including,the AluminumAssociation, American Bakers Association, Councilof InstitutionalInvestors,
News Media Allianceand Associated Builders and Contractors.Bethany joined The Moery Company
from BulletinIntelligencein Washington,DC, where she was an Account Executive, and prior to that,
a Sales Associate. With expertise in all phases of the sales cycle from prospecting to closing, Bethany
also developed and expanded upon advertising revenue and created effective target marketing
strategies for her clients.
Business Development Manager, Jordan Weiss Joined the Moery team in 2016. Focus on
membership and sponsorship sales for clients including,American Coatings Association,Auto Care
Association,and National Hospiceand PalliativeCare Organization.Jordanholds a degree in
CommunicationArts and Sciences from Penn State University where he was a member of its varsity
lacrosse team.

Sales Associate,Julie Divine supports the needs of our clients and The Moery Sales team
through initialsales contacts, prospect follow up, and Salesforce maintenance.Previously,
Julie was an Academic Partner Advisor/ChannelManager with 360training.com, as well as a
TrainingAssessment Manager at ProTrain,LLC. Julie joined The Moery Companyin 2015.
Sales Associate,Madeline Trabucco is the newest additionto The Moery Company team.
As a Sales Associate, Madelinemanages initialsales contacts and prospect follow-up and
participatesin lead generationcampaigns. A graduateof UC Berkeley with a Degree in
English, Madelinecompeted as a Division1 athlete,served as a youth coach, and was
elected President of Athletes in Action at the university.

As Chief of Staff, Amanda McMahon assists the CEO in managing the day-to-daybusiness
needs: meeting planning,scheduling, client relations, traveland other organizational
responsibilitiesfor the team. Prior to joiningThe Moery Company, Amandawas employedby
Affinity Center International,an associationconsultingfirm where she developeda solid record
of customer service, business developmentexpertise, and organizationalcollaborationwith
associationprofessionals.
Certified SalesforceAdministrator,Kerry Doyle supports the Moery sales team with its business
developmentcampaignsand contentmanagement. In this capacity,Kerry manages The Moery
Company’sextensive database to more effectively serve our client’sneeds and support their
goals. She prepares and manipulatesdatafor import, maintainsour growing database,and
assists in the execution of our team’ssales process. A graduate of James MadisonUniversity,
Kerry joined The Moery Companyin 2013.

Director of Communications,Kim Gilliam produces the Moery e-newsletter, podcasts, blog
content, and manages our social media platform and the Moery web sites. She conducts
associationresearch and contributesto Moery marketing endeavors. Kim has more than 10
years of associationpublicationsexperience, having served on the editorialstaff of APTA’s PT -
Magazine of Physical Therapy. Kim joined The Moery Companyin 2013.
Moery Podcast Consultant, Chris Stemp is the Host and Co-Founder of one of the top
educational podcastsin the world, "Smart People Podcast," which has been downloadedover 5
milliontimes. Chris has been podcasting for over 7 years and has publishednearly 300 episodes
during that time. Chris has worked with numerous individualsand businesses to help them
create and grow their own podcast as part of their content marketing strategy.
