           SETTING A DATABASE PASSWORD
Within your investigation of your end users requirements you should have established
security requests. Adding a password to your database will prevent unauthorised
access. Please note, if you forget the password you set you will not be able to use
the database again. Before you set a password ensure you have a back up copy
of your database.

   1. Load Access

   2. Click File and Open.

   3. Select your database in the Open
Window and Click the down arrow
        next the Open:

   4. Choose Open Exclusive

   5. From the menu Toolbar, select Tools,
        Security and Set Database Password.

   6. Type a sensible password, enter it
again within the Verify box and click Ok.

   7. Close your database and open it again, the Password Required window will be
displayed asking you to enter a password.

   8. To unset the password, click Tools, Security and Unset Database Password.
