Evanston, IL. I manage a three-person office that serves as
custodian of High School Equivalency records for Cook County and the
IL Dept. of Corrections.The program is funded through the Illinois
Community College Board via a contract with the Sangamon County
Regional Office of Education.
Oct. ’02—Dec. ‘13 Director, Cook County GED® Testing Program,
Evanston, IL. I managed a five-person office staff and organize
GED testing at 12 public centers and 6 non-public testing sites in Cook
County. This office was responsible for half the GED Tests in Illinois.
The program was funded through the Illinois Community College Board
via a contract with the Sangamon County Regional Office of Education,
who hired me and the staff as sub-contractors.
Jan. ’02—Oct.’02 Director, Employer Services, Jobs For Youth,
Chicago, IL. Managed staff of five job developers. Revamped
business-to-business communication, established procedures for MIS,
hired staff. In May-July, 2002 my department achieved the best
placement numbers for any quarter in the history of our primary contract.

TX. As Chicago-based adult education sales rep for IL and IN, achieved
99% of my FY 2001 sales goal and increased territorysales by 24%. The

SAFER Foundation, Chicago, IL. Designed and implemented a
process of continuing improvement for the GED, ABE, and Literacy
curricula for this adult education program inside Cook County Jail. Feb.

group of at-risk Chicago public high school seniors as part of the Jobs for
Illinois Graduates program.
Jan. ’97—Dec. ’99 ACT/SAT Test Preparation Instructor, Stanley
H. Kaplan, Chicago, IL. Taught eight-session courses to prepare high
school students for the ACT and SAT. Received bonuses for first-rate
student performance and top evaluations.

Chicago, IL. Assisted patients just discarded from Madden State
Mental Health Facility. Counseled patients, monitored medication, and
linked clients to community mental health and social services.
