EXPERIENCE
Hermanns Remodeling and Drywall – New Jersey. Arizona, and Colorado –
June 1983 to 2008
While on High School summer breaks and later while attending college I worked for a
number of construction companies. Then, in the summer of 1983, I founded a
successful construction company that had over $500,000 in annual revenues for a
number of years and employed as many as twenty full and part time employees. I
owned and operated that company in three states: I moved the company to where the
demand for work was most plentiful. As Chief Executive Officer, I managed and at
times prepared contract bid proposals on jobs from small home remodels to large,
involved Government and commercial construction projects. These jobs involved the
use of technical expertise in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and
building codes to ensure that every awarded project met industry and government
standards relating to health, safety, and energy. In addition, a significant contributor to
company growth came from additional work and referrals from satisfied customers.
Finally, over time, to maximize profits, I became proficient at analyzing purchase/lease
options. Then, with the 2008 downturn in the building industry, I gave my business to a
long time, faithful employee and moved on.
Samson Resources – Bayfield, Colorado – September 2008 to April 2014
Samson has work locations in six states and also works on oil platforms in the Gulf of
Mexico. I provided technical, project, engineering, and staff supervisory experience to
this industrial resources company of 2,000 employees. Work involved supervising crews
that maintained well heads, separators, compressors, dehydration units, boilers, and
glycol pumps. Additionally, I made sure all work met Company Standards, recorded well
tests and sent them to Engineering, and recorded daily Production Results in Company
logs for upper management. Finally, I managed teams that quality inspected,
identified, and made needed repairs.
Sterling Homes - Myrtle Beach, South Carolina – May 2014 to September 2014
Sterling is a Public Relations subcontractor hired to respond to problems identified by
new home owners and to develop courses of action to correct those problems to the
satisfaction of owners. I was hired to be the contact for new home owners at a new
development. I developed solutions for identified problems and managed a crew that
corrected those problems. I left Sterling Homes when the development I was
responsible for was completed and all home owners were satisfied.
Warren & Harmon Commercial Interiors – September 2014 to Present
I was hired by Warren & Harmon as Project Manager to oversee remodeling projects. In
that capacity, I secure needed permits, order materials, and put in place and manage
crews to complete awarded bids. Presently I’m working on a project that is remodeling
all units in a high-rise hotel.
EDUCATION
• Certified as a well control supervisor by the San Juan College School of
Energy in Farmington, New Mexico
• Was certified as a Pipefitter/Welder in New Jersey in the ‘80s
