The design phase starts once the
requirements for the Discovery phase have been defined; a Strategy has been set in place; a thorough User Research has been committed and adhered to; and now it is time to set the blueprint for the Design of the project, before having it finally Implemented.

& Site Maps
• Documentation of how the
system is organized.
• Information architectures help
create the structure of the
website.
• A sitemap is a blueprint of the
website. Helps search engines
find and crawl all of the
website's content.
5. Process & Task
Diagrams
• These models show case
how users will interact
with the system.
• And how the system will
respond based on what
the user does.
7. Design Comps
Detailed visual designs for each page
in the system.
Show a page exactly as it should look
when implemented, including visuals
i.e.: color palettes, photographs,
typography, and other graphical
elements.
8. Detailed Specifications
Detailed documentation of how the
system functions.
Includes how the product responds
to user interactions (i.e.: clicks,
swipes, and keystrokes).
And how it handles error conditions,
and responds to various system &
user states (i.e.: signed in vs signed
out, first time visiting vs repeat
visits).
9. Style and Pattern
Guides
Style guides include standard conventions for
visual design and content.
Pattern guides include standard interaction
conventions.
