Alternative Break Program
We are seeking eager students to travel from
cold and windy Fredonia to bright and sunny
Charleston, SC to refurbish homes and to
refurbish a community.

Cost
This trip will cost $225.00, it includes:
Transportation ( via Fredonia Van)
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Housing at Isles of Palms Baptist Church
ABP T-Shirt
General Itinerary
This trip will happen during Spring Break 2015.
We plan on leaving Sunday March 15th and
returning Thursday March 19th.
March 15- Travel Day, set up at the Church
March 16 & 17- Work on-site
(8:00-3:30 w/ 1 hour for lunch)
March 18th- Half day at site, then go to the Beach!!!
(8:00-12:00)
March 19th- Travel and be back in Fredonia
Service for this trip:
Habitat for Humanity:
Is a nonprofit, Christian housing ministry.
• They believe that every person should have a
decent, safe and affordable place to live.
• They build and repair houses all over the world
using volunteer labor and donations.
• We will all be given an orientation at the site on
how to safely work on these home. We will be
given special directions that will pertain to the
specific site we are at.
• You do not need any prior knowledge on
how to build houses or construction to serve
with Habitat for Humanity.
This trip is a great opportunity to:
• Gain experience working with a large organization
• Learn about the importance of civic engagement and
advocacy.
• Be apart of direct public service, which looks great on
your resume.
• Grow as individuals and understand the importance of
life-long social action.
