2. In early 2008, Fairpoint Communications bought the land line phone service from Verizon in Vermont and most of New England. Since then they have supplied what can only be classified as terrible service.
3. In most of Vermont you are given limited or no choice on your phone service. Your options are Vonage or Fairpoint, and there are still many places where there is no cable. Which means Vonage isn’t an option. Fairpoint has bought themselves a captive customer base.
4. The have taken over by FORCE! FORCE! FORCE! FORCE! FORCE!
5. Now the state of Vermont is considering taking away their license to operate here. Stating that, so many complaints have come in about billing errors and service problems , the state warned the company they must improve their quality of service. The company has still failed to comply. Just leaving disgruntled and down right angry customers all over.
