Acerca de
7 years' logistics experience with the US Army and a BA Economics from Western Michigan University has lead me to Denver, Colorado. After completing my thesis in Fall 2015, I hope to continue my self-directed foray into parallel programming, data science, and data visualization.
I'm interested in application development (shiny) and reproducible research (knitr), especially in renewable energy and logistics, but there are few places that the econometric toolkit can't go. I believe all institutions should be focusing on reproducible analysis using best practices in (web) design, and opening their human capital and knowledge base - not trying to close it.
