eight retail and hospitality units that generate $60 million in annual revenues, including dining, bookstore,
card office, trademark licensing, golf course, student centers, printing and catering/event services.
● Provide strategic direction and oversee an aggressive schedule of marketing/communications initiatives to
support the various units and division as a whole. Provide structure, training and resources for staff to
ensure effective strategies and quality solutions are delivered. Employ an integrated marketing
communications approach to ensure our brands are represented consistently across all platforms, including
publications, presentations, web, social media, email, video, point of sale and environmental graphics,
special events and promotions.
● Create, launch, refresh, realign and manage brands. Recently completed a brand refresh for the
department. Service/unit brands developed include Smoothie U, Yates Mill Bakery, Rave! Events, the Pack
Shop, Howling Cow ice cream, Wolfpack Outfitters and the Wolfpack One Card Office.
● Liaison with campus departments to build mutually beneficial relationships. Develop tools and tactics to
support and strengthen these partnerships.
● Earn positive media coverage both on campus and in trade publications by being proactive, accessible and
quick to respond with compelling stories and quality photography. Positioned NC State Dining to earn 2016
Innovator of the Year by Food Management Magazine among other national accolades.
● Counsel senior management on how to handle sensitive/complicated topics, such as banking relationships,
demolition of bookstore (a highprofile modernist building from the 1950s), construction using student fees,
and ChickfilA.
● Served as communications chair for the National Association of College and University Food Service’s
Southern Regional Conference in 2015. Serve on the faculty of the NACUFS Marketing Institute. Selected to
present at the 2016 NACUFS National Conference on the State of College Food Service Marketing.

participation from 6800 to 7500 in two years. This number has since risen to 9500.
