What do you think you already know?
This activates conversation, gets them to recall what they already know, but acts as a
way of challenging assumptions and looking for facts which can be confirmed, based on
the wisdom of the group.

What would you like to find out?
Promote inquisitive thinking, giving them the opportunity to design and create their
own learning. Feedback can be given based on what they have said. Sharing this with
the class might inspire people to see different views and to explore different areas.

How would you find out?
Important aspect to help students take charge of their learning. Not everything should
just be Googled. They may in fact have to create their own experiment. Maybe take this
into a different planning activity.

8. Now share the knowledge
What did you learn?
This is a great way for students to reflect on their learning, recall the topic and
summarise key information, facts and what they learned for discussion with the class.

9. Time to apply
What actions can you take?
Time to make it real – applying knowledge through to a few things that they can do to
utilise their new found knowledge. A question you might even ask yourself today!

10. Stimulate curiosity
What new questions do you still have?
This highlights that despite it all, there’s still more to know – and so the process
continues.
