2. Question 1
My results show that about 77%
of the people that answered my
survey were women. This shows
a female bias and could effect
the answers to my other
questions.
3. Question 2
The answers to question 2 show that
nearly all of my responses were from
people between age 16 – 19. Again, this
could effect some of the answers to my
other questions however this is
probably due to my age and because I
shared my survey onto Facebook, it was
shared with people mainly around my
age.
4. Question 3
This is the first question that
received a varied range of
answers:
Pop came out as the most popular
at 43%, followed by indie at 20%. I
am going to make my magazine a
general music magazine however
this figure is still helpful as I know
that people around my target
audience enjoy pop music.
5. Question 4
From my results I can see
that Billboard has come out
as the most popular
magazine, again this is
helpful for me as I can look
at the conventions of this
magazine and use them for
my own as I know people
like this style.
6. Question 5
From my results I can see that
most people would be willing
to pay up to £1.99 for a
magazine. This is useful for
me as I will be able to use this
information when choosing a
price for my own magazine
7. Question 6
This question revealed that
over 82% of people would be
most attracted to a magazine if
they received free concert
tickets with it, I am going to use
this for my own results as it is
obviously a good selling point
8. Question 7
Question 7 shows that the 2
most popular story types
were celebrity news and
gossip, obviously my
magazine will not contain real
celebrities but I can still
format my stories in this way
9. Question 8
Only 4% of people said that they
purchase a music magazine once a
week, only 13% purchase one per
month and the remaining 83% said they
rarely buy one. Therefore I will need to
find out what would entice people to
buy a magazine more often and I will do
this through my interviews.
10. Question 9
These results show that the majority of
people would prefer to read a physical
paper copy, therefore in my magazine I
will only offer a paper subscription
rather than an app/online version
11. Question 10
My responses from this question
were mainly indie and pop,
mainstream artists. I am going to
focus my magazine around these type
of artists as they are obviously
popular reads
