In-Service Training for Teachers of Mangorocoro Elementary School and Bato
Biasong Primary School
Program Description
The School-Based In-Service Training for Teachers serves as an avenue for
teachers’ capability building, investment of new knowledge and pedagogical skills
putting their minds together through focused group or collegial discussions
establishing connections and directed towards discovering effective strategies
consistent and relevant to the demands of the current educational platforms of
distance learning for effective learning delivery modality implementation.

Rationale
Effective implementation and realization of all the DepEd’s educational reform
efforts, programs and initiatives for quality teaching and learning performance are
virtually anchored on the quality and commitment of its implementing human
enterprise in the grass root level. Nevertheless, with the abrupt and unpredictable
transition of everything caused by COVID 19 Pandemic, which ushered schools to
a transitional phase of educational scenario that placed teachers and parents as
well in an extreme efforts of coping with the challenges and adjustments in the
new normal governed by restrictions especially in the continuity of learning amidst
the crisis.
It is then incumbent for necessary measures and initiatives to be
conceptualized and implemented to address emerging needs of teachers
advantage to learners and ensure their safety and their physical, mental and
psychological well-being as well, to keep them in the capacity and competence to
effectively perform their duties and responsibilities amidst pressures and
challenges in discovering new skills, approaches and strategies aligned to effective
learning delivery, crafting and conduct of assessment and proper evaluation of
learners’ performance for appropriate intervention.
This Five (5) day training workshop should therefore deliver the following

Objectives
The In-Service training is designed to:
1. Strengthen teacher’s positive perspectives and resilience amidst
challenges and pressures in the new normal.
2. Provide teachers with clear understanding of appropriate pedagogical
skills and preparation to address their emerging needs for effective
teaching.
3. Equip teachers with new insights and competencies in carrying out
teaching-learning tasks and appropriately assess learners needs to
provide interventions for improved learning.
4. Enable teachers to appreciate the benefits of the use of digital platforms
as an avenue of learning.
5. Provide teachers and parents support and assistance responsive to their
learners needs.
