Complete flight test engineering
services for the Cargo/Utility and
Attack Rotary Wing Solutions
customers.
The Cargo/Utility and Attack Rotary Wing
Systems Flight Test Team provides com-
plete and independent system validation
testing as outlined in the Rockwell Collins
Technical Consistent Process.
FLIGHT TEST OBJECTIVES
Validate the customer’s needs and>
requirements
Identify system problems and anomalies>
Troubleshoot issues and recommend>
solutions
Accurately report results and findings>
INDEPENDENT ORGANIZATION
The Flight Test Team is independent and
separate from the system development
teams to ensure the flight test objectives
are met. Test projects are organized under
a test director who reports directly to the
customer and program manager. Each
project is assigned a test lead and at least
one flight test engineer.
EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE
Over 1,800 flight test hours have
been flown, leading to 17 production
airworthiness releases for six U.S. Army
aircraft as of December 2009. The Flight
Test Team offers extensive knowledge and
understanding of multiple aircraft systems,
architectures, and platforms, providing our
customers with aircraft integration and test
specialization while also acting as a liaison
between the Rockwell Collins development
team and the customer/end user.
