INTERVENTION REPORT
I. BUILD Program
BUILD is a unified intervention program for students who are lagging
behind the class and failed to master competencies from the quarterly
assessment of the eight (8) learning areas.
This program aims to help students to relearn the least mastered skills
and build the necessary competencies to fully understand them.

Based on the online assessment conducted last February 09-11,2022 by the
SDO- Valenzuela, it was found out that there are learners who did not perform
well and failed to master specific learning competencies in TLE 8 for the Second
Quarter

These are the following competencies in TLE 8
MELC 1. Plan and prepare for tasks to be undertaken. (TLE_IACSS9-12UHT-
IIIa-17)
MELC 2. Select measuring instruments. (TLE_IACSS9-12PMC-IIa-b-10)
MELC 3. Carry out measurements and calculation. (TLE_IACSS9-12PMC-IIb-d-
11
MELC 4. Maintain hand tools (TLE_IACSS9-12UHT-IIId-20)
MELC 5. Identify different kinds of technical drawing. (TLE_IACSS9-12TD-IIf-g-
13
MELC 6. Identify hazards and risks. (TLE_IACSS9-12PCO-Ic-d-4)
With these pressing challenges, we conducted several meetings with the
Master Teachers, Head Teachers, together with our Principal and come up with
an intervention known as BUILD Program (Bagbaguin NHS Unified Intervention
for Learners’ Development) to improve the mastery of the lesson and relearn the
least mastered skills. We were also able to come up with a unified plan and
schedule which includes letter informing the parents of concerned learners
about the program, orientation, online exam, re-teaching, re-assessment, and
home visitation (if needed). After Phase II of the intervention program, last March
29, 2022, we conducted an evaluation on the effectiveness of the implemented
program, problems we encountered and possible recommendations on improving
the design of learning program.
Detailed recommendations on the improvement of the design of the BUILD program.
1. Phase I and Phase II can be combined as one since that they are both online exams.
We can extend the duration of the exam and there will be no limit in answering the test
as long as they will get a perfect score.
2. Choose only the least mastered competencies based on the results of Item Analysis.
3. Creation of separate GC of students who will take intervention (if possible)
4. In reteaching phase, we can collaborate with the partner-teacher and assign specific
MELCs/lessons to discuss.

These are the following competencies in TLE 8 MELC 1. Plan and prepare for tasks to be undertaken. (TLE_IACSS9-12UHT- IIIa-17) MELC 2. Select measuring instruments. (TLE_IACSS9-12PMC-IIa-b-10) MELC 3. Carry out measurements and calculation. (TLE_IACSS9-12PMC-IIb-d- 11 MELC 4. Maintain hand tools (TLE_IACSS9-12UHT-IIId-20) MELC 5. Identify different kinds of technical drawing. (TLE_IACSS9-12TD-IIf-g- 13 MELC 6. Identify hazards and risks. (TLE_IACSS9-12PCO-Ic-d-4) With these pressing challenges, we conducted several meetings with the Master Teachers, Head Teachers, together with our Principal and come up with an intervention known as BUILD Program (Bagbaguin NHS Unified Intervention for Learners’ Development) to improve the mastery of the lesson and relearn the least mastered skills. We were also able to come up with a unified plan and schedule which includes letter informing the parents of concerned learners about the program, orientation, online exam, re-teaching, re-assessment, and home visitation (if needed). After Phase II of the intervention program, last March 29, 2022, we conducted an evaluation on the effectiveness of the implemented program, problems we encountered and possible recommendations on improving the design of learning program. Detailed recommendations on the improvement of the design of the BUILD program. 1. Phase I and Phase II can be combined as one since that they are both online exams. We can extend the duration of the exam and there will be no limit in answering the test as long as they will get a perfect score. 2. Choose only the least mastered competencies based on the results of Item Analysis. 3. Creation of separate GC of students who will take intervention (if possible) 4. In reteaching phase, we can collaborate with the partner-teacher and assign specific MELCs/lessons to discuss.
