1. Covenant of Marriage
“Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and
be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh”.
Genesis 2:22-23
This oneness takes patience, kindness, & much love to obtain, but it
is one of the most precious institutions God has created. When we
say “I do” or “I will” in our wedding vows, it is only the beginning of the
true oneness process that must take place in our marriages in order
to fulfill God’s perfect plan for our marriage. These two small
words yet profound in meaning, are the start of a life that humbly
submits; first to the Lord, then to our spouse, so that He will be able
to manifest Himself in and through our marriage.
Remember “Oneness” takes time and is a process, “With God all
things are possible” (Luke 1:37); for this is His will for every
marriage that invites Him in to their marriage ministry.
The success of marriage comes not in finding the “right” person, but in
the
ability of both partners to adjust to the real person they ineveitably
realize they
married.
