Safety and Health Standard: Prerequisite prior to proposed Limited Face-to-Face Learning Modality
INTRODUCTION:
The existence of the COVID19 pandemic is a worldwide trend that will severely impact everyone,
and the new normal education system in the country will need to be well-informed, educated, and armed
with a highly organized preparedness for safety and preventative measures. As a result, all schools in the
country were required to have a contingency plan in place to implement measures or activities to prevent
COVID19 from spreading throughout the country. The protection of learners and educational facilities is
especially significant. Last June 19, 2020 the Department of Education issued a DepEd order No. 012
series of 2020 entitled: Adoption of Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan for the school year 2020-
2021 in light of Public Health Emergency.
In accordance with this, Sitio Target Integrated School of the Division of Angeles City
conceptualized contingency plan in anticipation of the possible limited face-to-face learning modality.
OBJECTIVES:
The Objectives of the Contingency Plan for Covid-19 are as follows:
1. To ensure the safety of all learners, parents, teachers, and non-teaching personnel in the school.
2. To implement necessary action in response to certain situations.
3. To conceptualize and design contingency plan for the safety of the school personnel, learners,
stakeholders, and administrators.
4. To encourage teachers and non- teaching personnel to strictly implement the safety protocol prescribed
by the IATF.
5. Continuous sanitation and disinfection process of school facilities, classrooms, buildings, and
surroundings.
6. Proper disposal of used COVID-19 medical supplies.
