Clear Pores
1. Clear Pores - Skin Care Advice Anyone Can Use
Your complexion can be a fickle thing. One day your skin may be clear and smooth, and the next it may
not. Worse still, after a lifetime of ideal skin, you could find yourself in the middle of an uphill battle
trying to get back what you have lost! Don't lose heart! Here are some tips to improve and keep your
skin looking its best!
To keep your skin the healthiest, avoid smoking at all costs. This can be harmful for your health and isn't
good for your skin. Smoking can cause premature wrinkles around your mouth, lips and on your
forehead. If you need help to quit smoking, you should talk to your doctor.
To adequately care for your skin, make sure to take a shower after exercising or physically exerting
yourself. When you sweat, your body makes a secretion called sebum that clogs your pores. Showering
can help to clean off the sweat and oil that causes skin to break out.
Do not go overboard with skin care products. Just about all skin care products take time to set in and get
to work on your skin. If you are using a variety of products, one after another without giving them time
to settle you could be wasting your money by washing them down the drain before they have a chance
to work.
Help improve and care for your skin by eating dark chocolate. Studies indicate that it can give you
flavanols, which are nutrients that seem to attract UV light and help with blood flow to the skin. This
causes the skin to look healthier, feel softer and be less sensitive to the sun.
Consider cutting out high-glycemic foods in order to better care for your skin. Studies have shown that
individuals who ate more protein and stayed away from foods like French fries and candy had better
skin. In particular, they had significantly less pimples, indicating that what you eat has an impact on the
way your skin looks.
If you really want to have healthy skin, you have to stop smoking all together. If you continue to smoke,
the smoke from your cigarette will dry out your lips and eventually your skin. Research also shows that
smoking will eventually make your skin look older and age.
2. To prevent breakouts of acne, try using facial care products that come in a spray-on applicator. This will
keep you from transferring bacteria, oils and potentially irritating substances from your hands to your
face while applying things like sunscreen or moisturizer. Having a more bacteria-free face can in turn
reduce your chances of developing pimples.
If you have sensitive or oily skin, use only one capful of bubble bath. Whenever possible, look for bubble
bath that does not contain fragrances or dyes, which are both well-known irritants. While a long soak in
a mountain of bubbles might seem relaxing, too much bubble bath can sit on the surface of your skin,
trapping dead skin cells and clogging pores and hair follicles.
If you choose to apply skin care products, be sure to use them consistently. The effect of the product
greatly increases if it is used frequently. If you are the type of person who tends to forget about your
skin care routine, try keeping your skin products in a place where you will see them. If you apply your
products at bedtime, you could try keeping the products on your nightstand.
Now that you have the intel on how to fight the battle for ideal skin, apply what you know. Skin care all
comes down to proper maintenance and good daily habits. Keep that up, and not only will your skin's
condition improve, it will stay that way!
