With a MA degree in Ethnographic Film and a PhD in Human Geography, I have extensive experience of 20 years working as a social scientist, international development practitioner, consultant and documentary filmmaker, specifically focused on Syria and the Arab World. My specific interests are in documentary film and media, sustainable development, traditional water management, biodiversity, environmental peacebuilding and the interaction between people and the environment.
