This workshop aims to explore diverse understandings of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial learning and employability and analyze them in the light of the new EntreComp framework. The topic will be addressed both from individual and organizational perspectives to discover and map the needs, methods and strategies of youth work to support entrepreneurship competence development of young people towards employability. 1. Introduce the new EntreComp (Entrepreneurship
Competence Framework) as a tool within youth work
practices
2. Share good-practices of supporting entrepreneurship
competences development towards youth employability
3. Map concrete practices and strategies
4. Draw conclusions on how to improve the integration of
entrepreneurial learning within youth work practices

3. What is entrepreneurship?
• Transversal competence
• Broad definition: creation of cultural, social or economic
value
• Different types: social, green, intrapreneurship
• Broad scope: personal development, job market, start-
ups

4. What is entrepreneurship?
• Entrepreneurship is when you act upon opportunities and
ideas and transform them into value for others. The value
that is created can be financial, cultural, or social (FFE-
YE, 2012).

5. What is employability?
• Combination of factors which enable individuals to
progress towards or get into employment, to stay in
employment and to progress during their careers.

6. What is employability?
Employability of individuals depends on:
1. personal attributes (including adequacy of knowledge and skills);
2. how these personal attributes are presented on the labour
market;
3. environmental and social context (incentives and opportunities
offered to update and validate their knowledge and skills);
4. and the economic context.
