Cisco has completed the acquisition of
privately-held, US-based Socio Labs.
Socio is a modern event technology
platform that manages the full life-
cycle of multi-session, multi-track
virtual, in-person and hybrid con-
ferences – from registration to post-
event analytics.
By adding Socio Labs to its Webex
portfolio, Cisco will provide event
organisers a single platform with ev-
erything they need to successfully host
nearly any type of event imaginable.

Amazon HealthLake enables healthcare organizations to store, transform, and query health data
in the cloud using machine learning for a complete picture of patient and population health.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) has an-
nounced the general availability of Am-
azon HealthLake, a HIPAA-eligible
service for healthcare and life sciences
organizations to ingest, store, query,
and analyze their health data at scale.
Amazon HealthLake uses machine
learning to understand and extract
meaningful medical information from
unstructured data, and then organises,
indexes, and stores that information
in chronological order. The result pro-
vides a holistic view of patient health.
The service leverages the Fast Health-
care Interoperability Resources (FHIR)
industry standard format to further
enable interoperability by facilitating
the exchange of information across
healthcare systems, pharmaceutical
companies, clinical researchers, health
insurers, patients, and more.

that is part of AWS for Health, a com-

Citrix Research Reveals Employee
Experiences Falling Short

panies have given their workforce the
tools they need to work remote. And re-

VMware continues to build out its vir-
tual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and
Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS) platform
and has announced new capabilities to
make it easier for IT to manage VMware
Horizon deployments wherever they
may be, on-premises or in the cloud.
