Iowa Campus Compact advances the public purposes of college and universities by depending their
ability to improve community life and to educate students for civic and social responsibility. The Iowa
College AmeriCorps Program (ICAP) was created to increase levels of volunteerism among college
students in Iowa as part of their academic experience, while engaging them in their local campus
community. Members help meet the greatest needs in their local campus community by
volunteering 300 or 450 hours of service during an academic year.

Iowa Campus Compact (IACC) is a statewide association of college and university presidents
providing leadership for the civic mission of higher education. Iowa Campus Compact strengthens
the capacity of our member colleges and universities to prepare all students to become engaged
citizens.
