The classification of mental disorders, also
known as psychiatric nosology or taxonomy,
is a key aspect of psychiatry and
other mental health professions and an
important issue for people who may be
diagnosed.
There is a widely established system for
classifying mental disorders—
Chapter V of the International Classification
of Diseases (ICD-10) produced by the World
Health Organization (WHO) in Year-1992.
3. Thisis W.H.O classification for all mental disease
& related health problems.
The
chapter “F” classify psychiatric disorders as
mental and behavioral disorders & codes them on
Alphanumeric Terms from “F00-to-F99".
4. F0-F09: Organic, including symptomatic, mental
disorders
F10-F19: Mental and behavioural disorders due
to use of psychoactive substances
F20-F29: Schizophrenia, schizotypal and
delusional disorders
5. F-20: SHIZOPHERNIA
F30-F39: Mood [affective] disorders
F40-F49:Neurotic, stress-related and somatoform
disorders
F50-F57: Behavioural syndromes associated with
physiological disturbances and physical factors
6. F60-F69: Disorders of personality and behaviour
in adult persons
F70-F79: Mental retardation
F80-F89: Disorders of psychological development
F90-F98: Behavioural and emotional disorders
with onset usually occurring in childhood and
adolescence
F99: In addition, a group of "unspecified mental
disorders".
