Intent to Contribute Statement:
The poster will be a collage of various activities and projects sponsored by the KP-Fremont Caring Council
from August 2012 through June 2013. The ideas came from individual departments as well as the Council, at
large. The focus was on creating a caring healing environment for patients, families, and staff. The group also
sponsored team-building activities for staff and made contributions to our surrounding communities. In
addition, we incorporated Caring Science principles training for Nursing Students during their clinical
orientation. Every project/activity was tied to a Caring Science principle: caring for self, caring for
patients, caring for community, and caring for practitioners.
