Approach • Presenters will provide a brief overview of their idea / offer / desired partners • Attendees will then select break-out rooms to discuss challenges and develop ideas • Each room will be supported by a KTN facilitator • After 25 min, all attendees will come back to the main room • We will then do two rounds of shorter, random break-out rooms • A capability document sharing details of all registrants will be circulated after the event The sound levels on videos vary, please use your local volume controls to optimise the level for you Consortia Building – Presentations and Break-out Sessions

- Regardless if you are aiming to Investigate (through a Feasibility study) or develop a new solution ( Small R&D) you must address major on-farm or immediate post farmgate challenges or opportunities. Solutions must significantly improve: productivity sustainability and environmental impact progression towards net zero emissions Resilience You must be able to demonstrate in your application how your project will benefit farmers, growers or foresters in England We aim to fund a portfolio of projects, across a variety of technologies, markets, industry sectors, technological maturities and business size
- In terms of scope the focus for these competitions is intentionally broad. we are looking for projects that will make significant improvements in productivity sustainability resilience and progression towards net zero. Projects should focus around on farm opportunities call immediate post farm gate opportunities. and as stated we are looking for projects that have potential to deliver significant impact rather than marginal gains. The only outs of scopes are equine-specific wild caught fisheries aquaculture, including algae and seaweed production Projects involving hemp / cannabis cellular or acellular production systems, So if you are looking at developing systems for lab meat or looking at fermenting or processing bacteria, yeast or fungi, then this is not the competition for you. And as we have mentioned – this funding is from Defra so we will fund projects that do not include or benefit farmers, growers or foresters in England.
- Plan work and submit proposal early Things to note if your proposal is successful… Pay attention to detail in project set up stage Need to allocate time and effort to meet IUK project management requirements Be prepared to contribute to the TFP programme evaluation

So hopefuilly that is a succinct and informative summary of the three competitions we have launched
