Over the last 10 years I haveworked with companies to successfully introduce
new and existing products into the North American marketfrom manufacturing
facilities in Asia. The following areas required additional work to assure
components and products conformed to North American requirements.
1. Training of Engineering and Manufacturing employees in Asia.
2. Control of technical documents, including 2D and 3D drawings.
3. Verification of materials, and equipment capabilities.
4. Control of processes to assurequality and consistency.
5. Review of Patents and Trademarks to identify areas of possible
infringement.
6. Conformanceto all Standards in North America, EPA, CARB, UL, USFS.
7. Identification and documentation of critical elements to be included in
the manufacturing processes.

1. Gasoline powered engines to Propane
2. High efficiency brushless electric motors and Li-Ion battery technology
3. Battery production processes to reduce variation and improve
performance, consistency and durability.
Itis critical to identify and document all the component and product
requirements. These requirements must be a key concern to determine and select
factories that can consistently meet or exceed them. After a factory has been
selected, all processes mustbe reviewed and verified to be capable of meeting
the identified requirements. Audits of each process during manufacturing mustbe
conducted including randomselection of finished products for inspection and
verification testing.
