Notes of Interest
Repairs to Clark Hall P10720 parking lot will begin on 6 June 2012 The work will include a sealcoat
and restriping of the parking lot to include larger parking stalls. Work will start on the north side
parking lot of Clark Hall, this parking lot will be blocked off the evening of 5 June 2012. Please in-
sure all vehicles are removed from the area prior to the evening of 5 June 2012. This work will
take approx 6-8 days dependant on the weather. Once the North side is complete it will be
opened up and the South side parking lot will be closed. It may be necessary to use the PX and
Commissary parking lot during this time.

VOLUTNEER OPPORTUNITIES
Thousand Islands Area Habitat for Humanity is seeking volunteers for various committees and our board
of directors. If you are interested, we will be having a Committee and Board Orientation Meeting on
Wednesday June 6 th at 6pm.

McEwen Library is looking for volunteers to assist in day to day duties around the library. Responsibili-
ties include: shelving books, process new materials, maintain the routine upkeep of the library such as
dusting shelves, cleaning screens and keyboards, sending out overdue notices. Hours are extremely
flexible...anytime the library is open! If you are interested, please contact Wendy Newell at 772-6605 or

Off the Beaten' Path Gift Shop located in the Heritage Center next to the USO is in need of one volunteer
to help out on Tuesdays beginning in June, anytime between 10 - 2 would be the shift. This is a great op-
portunity to gain retail experience!!! If you are interested, please email Chris at otbpgift-

UPCOMING ALZHEIMER'S ASSOCIATION VOLUTNEER OPPORTUNITIES
Weds-Jun 13, Jul 11, Aug 8 – Watertown Farmer’s Market - Promote Walk to End Alzheimer’s & provide
basic info by staffing a table at the Farmer’s Market.0730 - 1130 & 1100 – 1500.
Tues, Jun 19 – Distribution Day - Help to post signage (stake signs at intersections) and place palm cards
(brochures) at local businesses, from 1300-1400.Location: TBD
Sat, Jul 14 – Thousand Islands Winery 9th Birthday Bash - Help w/ security, serving, bagging purchases,
parking, and stocking wine. (Must be 21), 1630-2100.
Training will be held on Thursday, June 28. Likely 1630-1700 @ the Winery.
Fri, Aug 17 – Set Up for Walk to End Alzheimer’s - Meet @ Sacket’s Harbor school to set up for Walk to
End Alzheimer’s. Time TBD
Sat, Aug 18 – Walk to End Alzheimer’s - Assist w/ registration, walkers, incentives, promise garden, re-
freshments, advocacy and more. 0730-1200 @ SHCS.
