3. What is Reurbanisation? Reurbanisation is the increasing number of people moving back into inner urban areas having previously lived in suburbs or outside the urban area. It also defined as the return of high status and high income group back to inner and central areas in MEDCs Therefore this is the movement of people from rural areas back into the city.

Some of the important steps were taken : 1981 – 162 hectares of land which was near the Manchester ship canal were designated an enterprise zone as it was the need of development.
