The Raleigh Rescue Mission relies on the support of local communities to
minister to thousands of men, women and children who turn to them in need
throughout the year. We can partner with them throughout the year by
providing them with “Tubs of Love.”

From now until February 22nd we will be collecting the above items. These are
regular sized items, not travel/trial. There will be TUBS throughout the church
for you to place these items in.

4. Announcements
Heck-Jones Offering - The week of prayer for Heck-Jones is February 9th-15th, but we
will collect your offering throughout the month of February.
Backpack Buddies - Thank you ALL for the ongoing food donations you provide for
Backpack Buddies. The weekend meals are going to children at Knightdale Elementary
School who might otherwise have little or no food from Friday until they return to school
Monday morning. We need lots of kid-friendly non-perishable food items to maintain this
ministry (a grocery list can be found in the vestibule for you to take home). The food
collection bins are located in the Education Building and the vestibule of the Sanctuary.
Thank you again for supporting this ministry.
KBC BBQ & Bazaar - The date for the big event is set for Saturday, May 16th, so
mark your calendars. Lots of items are needed for the silent and live auction and now is
the time to be looking and asking for donations. This committee needs everyone
collecting/donating items for it to succeed. If you utilize a service a lot, such as, nail salon,
hair salon, auto-mechanic, exterminator, etc., please consider asking them for a donation to our
auction - never hurts to ask! Also, does anyone own a home or timeshare at the beach or the
mountains? If you do, would you please consider donating a weekend or a weeks’ stay to the
auction? Ask for Savings Bonds where you bank, or ask for green fees and a cart where you golf -
you get the idea!
KBC BBQ & Bazaar Planning Meeting - Today at 2:00 pm in the Conference Room.
Personnel Committee Meeting - Monday, February 9th at 7:00 pm in the Conference
Room and Monday, February 16th at 7:00 pm.
Angelic Minister’s WMU Circle - Tuesday, February 10th at 7:00 pm in the Conference
Room.
Children’s Ministry Team Meeting - If you are willing to help us review, evaluate,
dream about, and plan KBC’s children’s ministry, please join us on Thursday, February
12th at 7:00 pm in the Conference Room. Parents and teachers are encouraged to attend -
and anyone else with a passion for reaching and teaching our children. Thank you!
Faith Challenger’s Valentine Party - Friday, February 13th at 6:00 pm in the
Fellowship Hall.
Senior Adult Valentine Banquet - Sunday, February 15th at 12:15 pm in the
Fellowship Hall. Our annual event to honor our seniors is almost upon us. The
youth will serve the seniors a meal and entertainment will be provided. This
year we will have Zack and Brittany Jackson perform music for us. They have
performed in years past and done an excellent job. Please come out to enjoy
this time together.

Cemetery Committee Meeting - Monday, February 16th at 7:00 pm in the Fellowship
Hall.
Finance Committee Meeting - Tuesday, February 17th at 7:00 pm in the Conference
Room.
Weathers/Knight Circle - Thursday, February 19th at 10:45 am in the Conference
Room.
The Spring Senior Adult Rally is Tuesday, March 24th at Central Baptist Church,
11109 Poole Rd., Wendell. Registration begins at 9:00 am and the program begins at 9:30
am. The guest speaker will be Bryan Mims, general assignment reporter for WRAL-TV
& writer for Our State magazine. Other guests will be the Damascus Ridge, a bluegrass
gospel band based in NC with a goal to spread the word of Christ through song into the
hearts of many. The cost is $12.00. If you would like to go, please get your payment into
the office no later than Sunday, March 8th. Please make checks payable to the Raleigh
Baptist Association. The menu is: Chicken & Dumplings, Steamed Cabbage, Candied
Yams, Cornbread, Chocolate Pie, Carrot, Cake. and Tea.
Wednesday Night Fellowship Meal
February 11th from 5:30 - 6:30 pm
(Arrival anytime between 5:30 and 6:30 pm)
The menu is:
Lasagna, Salad Bar,
Bread, Homemade Desserts and Beverages
(Cheese Pizza always available)
The cost is: adults (10-up) $5.00, children (4-9) $2.00 and children 3 and
under free. Maximum family cost is $20.00. Reservations/cancellations must
be made by noon Monday, February 9th. Call the church office to make
reservations or complete the Wednesday Night section on the “Welcome
Guest” slip and drop it in the offering plate. Make sure to write your name on
the slip.

on the day that you volunteered to work, we ask that you please
don’t forget to find a replacement for yourself so there is
adequate coverage during the worship service. Also, if you
have a change in the schedule for the children’s nursery or
children’s church, please contact the monthly coordinator so
that the change can be made prior to the printing of the
worship bulletin. However, any permanent changes in the
schedule should continue to be handled by the lead
coordinator.
Thank you for all your help.
Attention KBC Parents: If you have a child participating in
children’s worship, please make sure they are picked up at the end of
the church service by a parent or adult. The children’s worship
leaders will only allow children to be picked up by a parent or adult
from the nursery, toddler, 2-3 year old, 4-5 year old, or 6-7 year old
classrooms. We love our children at KBC and want to ensure their
safety!
