Key feature: UK businesses can apply for a share of up to £20 million to
research technologies and business models that develop future Vehicle-
to-Grid (V2G) products and services.
The Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) and the Department for
Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) are providing total
funding of £20 million for innovative projects that develop future V2G
products, services and knowledge.
This competition, run by Innovate UK, will support a range of Feasibility,
Collaborative R&D and Demonstrator projects.

6. Opens: 10.07.17. Application deadline: noon on 13.09.17.
Key feature: Innovate UK is to invest up to £15 million in projects in this
competition. This is to stimulate innovation that creates UK business
growth in infrastructure systems. We want businesses to collaborate to
develop new integrated solutions and business models. Projects will
range in size from total project costs of £25,000 to £5 million and must
last between 3 months and 3 years.
Projects must show significant innovation in one of the priority areas:
• smart infrastructure
• energy
• connected transport
• urban

7. Opens: 13.06.17. Application deadline: noon on 02.08.17.
Key feature: Innovate UK is to invest up to £10 million in innovative
projects. This is to encourage and stimulate the development of Robotics
and Artificial Intelligence (RAI) technologies for extreme and challenging
environments applications.
The aim of this competition is to speed up the development of RAI
technologies which would be used across the off-shore energy, nuclear
energy, space and deep mining applications and other extreme and
challenging environments.

Key feature: Innovate UK is to invest in innovative projects, to
encourage and stimulate the development of demonstrators of robotics
and artificial intelligence (RAI) technologies for extreme and challenging
environments.
This is the first phase of the demonstrator programme. It is for projects
focusing on technical feasibility studies of individual technologies,
systems or subsystems for off-shore energy, nuclear energy, space and
deep mining.

This is to deliver game-changing, cutting-edge innovations with

Innovate UK’s open competition aims to overcome barriers to cutting-
edge, game-changing innovation becoming a successful commercial
reality and/or resulting in significant, sustainable business growth.

Key feature: Innovate UK is investing up to £3 million for projects that
use cutting-edge solutions to improve cities in Malaysia. The aim of this
competition is to encourage innovative partnerships between the UK and
Malaysia. Innovate UK and PlaTCOM Ventures, Malaysia are funding
this competition, administered by the Newton Fund.
Projects should address one or more of the following urban challenges:
• urban mobility
• urban waste
• urban water management

million under Secure Societies – protecting freedom and security of
Europe and its citizens work programme. Opens: 01.03.17.

Horizon 2020: Digital Security Focus Area: ICT-driven
transformations bring opportunities across many important sectors
but also vulnerabilities to critical infrastructures and digital services,

Immersive Experiences Research Call: The AHRC and EPSRC Immersive
Research Development Partnerships call is seeking proposals for grants
up to £75K to support the development of early stage research
partnerships that can explore the creation of new immersive experiences,
addressing three key themes of memory, place and performance.
