1. 6. What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
We used different technologies to create our final product. We used a camera (Cannon Legria) that was easy to use
as it had most of the features that we needed. The camera settings were set to automatic which made it easier to
film without adjusting any features, instead of the manual setting.
We also used a tripod whilst filming which we used for most of our shots. This made our shots look straight and
better framed.
IMovie was used, which is a non-linear editing software so it was easy for us to edit shots together to create the
film. We could re-shoot anything we needed to then edit it back into the sequence. I learnt how to edit the sound
into the sequence by using iMovie. After effects was used to create our own titles.
I used garage band to create the soundtrack for the opening. This was useful as it helped us figure out the type of
sound we wanted. We used Blogger to help us see our progress. We used it to upload different ideas. We uploaded
different things such as videos, presentations etc. However, personally I didn’t find blogger as useful as it was a
little complicated when uploading different things.
We also used YouTube to upload our opening online to our blogger. This was useful as it was an easy process. I also
used YouTube to do my product research. This was also useful as it had a variety of different thrillers.
