2. Why is it important to our body? Breathe oxygen Breathe out carbon dioxide Our blood needs oxygen

3. Nose Filters dirt out of air Warms up air

4. Pharynx Muscle tube Carries air into wind pipe

5. Epiglottis Keeps out of the lungs Keeps food out of the voice box

6. Larynx( voice box) Sits on top of wind pipe It is made out of cartilage

7. Vocal cords Make the sounds when we talk, coughs, or sing Folds of lining membrane

8. Trachea( wind pipe ) Takes air from the vocal chords and into the lungs Ribs of cartilage

9. Bronchial tree Take air to the bottom of the lungs Branches look like a tree
