- As defined, public fiscal administration is simply the management of monetary transactions, either coming into the coffers of the government and going out through disbursement. Public fiscal deals primarily with the state’s monetary resources. And, public refers to the various government agencies. Be it educational institutions like state universities, state colleges, public schools. This may include also organizations which are non-profit in nature and generally provides public service.
- Public fiscal administration involves, by and large, a working system, an appropriate structure so designed that whatever comes in is also properly disbursed. Processes are also defined so that a uniform procedure is followed the government officials, civil service personnel. Systems, Structures, Processes also define and identify accountabilities.
- The succeeding slides depict how Philippine Fiscal Administration evolved over the years. The series of improvement brought to fore a more sound and responsive fiscal policies, designed by administration to administration.
