Dallas-Fort Worth Designated Market Area (DMA)

• Largest land-locked metropolitan area in the world:

• Total 2011 population: 7,392,504

• The DMA encompasses 9,286 square miles (21,100 km2) of total
  area, making it larger in area than the U.S. States of Rhode Island and
  Connecticut, combined.

• Although Dallas is a multicultural city, its “personality” from a broad
  perspective is clearly Anglo American and strongly nouveau-riche and
  business-savvy.
Dallas-Fort Worth DMA (continued):

• The DMA’s economy is primarily based on
  banking, commerce, telecommunications, computer
  technology, energy and transportation.

• The Dallas-Fort Worth DMA, by population, is the largest
  metropolitan area in Texas and the fourth-largest in the United
  States.

• It is also home to the third largest concentration of Fortune 500
  companies in the nation.
