2. INTRODUCTION
WOMEN WELFARE
Women “Source of Existence”.
The birth giver, but still women faced lots of
discrimination and are the victims of rape, domestic
violence etc.
Women needs to be given the utmost priority.
4. NEED OF WOMEN WELFARE
PROGRAMME
• To improve the social, economical, health and
nutritional status.
• To safeguard the constitutional rights of
women and child.
• To create awareness
• To improve the intellectual, mental health of
the women and childrens.
6. MCTS: launched in 2011, to improve the delivery of
health care services to pregnant women and children
under 5 years.
Mudra Yojana Scheme: launched in 2015 aka Modi
Scheme, to provide the financial support to the
women who wants to start their own business.
7. • Mahila E-Haat: launched in march 2016 by the
Ministry of women and child development, to
support women entrepreneurs, self help group to
showcast products made and services rendered by
them.
• One stop centre scheme: Popularly known as ‘Sakhi’,
it was implemented on 1st April 2015 with the
‘Nirbhaya Fund’.
8. • The one stop centre are established at various
locations in India for providing shelter, police desk,
legal, medical and counseling services to victims of
violence.
Services provided are
• Emergency response and Rescue Services.
• Medical Assistance.
• Assistance in lodging FIR/NCR/DIR.
• Psycho social support/ counselling.
• Legal aid.
• Shelter.
9. Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana
• The programme began in October 2010. It is a
Conditional Maternal Benefit for pregnant and
lactating mother age over 19 years and over for their
first two live births.
• Service provided
• Provides money to help ensure the good health and
nutrition of the recipients.
10. Swadhar Greh
• Launched by the Union Ministry of Women and Child
Development in 2002 for the rehabilitation of
women in difficult circumstances.
• Services provided
• Shelter
• Food
• Clothing
11. STEP ( Support to Training and Employment
Programme.
• The schemes aims:
• To provide skills that give employability to women.
• To provide competencies and skill that enable
women to become self-employed / entrepreneurs.
12. Rajiv Gandhi Scheme for Empowerment of Adolescent
Girls
• Sabla is an initiative launched in 2012 that targets
adolescent girls.
• The schemes offers a package of benefits to girl
between 10 to 19 years of age.
• Services provided
• Nutritional supplementation and education
• Health education and services
• Life skills and vocational training.
13. Ujjawala
• A Comprehensive Scheme for Prevention of
Trafficking and Rescue, Rehabilitation and Re-
Integration of Victims of Trafficking for Commercial
Sexual Exploitation.
Beneficiaries
• Women and children who are vulnerable to
trafficking for commercial sexual exploitation.
• Women and children who are victims of
trafficking for commercial sexual exploitation.
