Exercise 2b: Try to find all the examples of the present perfect continuous in the
text on page 74 and underline them. Now complete the table (forms of the
present perfect continuous).
USE: The present perfect continuous connects the past and the present. It is used
for:
- for activities which started in the past and are still going on
- for actions that have just stopped and have an evident result in the present
- to show how long an activity has been in progress ( all morning, for hours,
for many years, since 1994,… ).
