- 7. 30/03/2020 7 Some observations on start-up support For the DIHs: Core activities are providing housing, access to infrastructure, business development and access to finance… … but also access to market opportunities and large companies! Large companies like meeting start-ups. Organise events! Create interregional corridors! EU collaboration expand their markets! Start-ups have little money; funding must come from your government VCs are reluctant to co-fund, but can spend a day/week at your premesis For the start-ups: DIHs can help connect you to the market, including large companies and EU DIHs can support to prepare you to develop a business plan: access to finance! If you need expensive prototyping and testing infrastructure, they can help Moving to a DIH space will allow you to get into an inspirational community Lower the costs for getting quick and experienced advise on your business Availablity of working space that comes with access to utilities •Infrastructure •Expertise •Finance •Network •Large companies •Venture capital •Public cofunding •Inspiration offering a high quality working environment
