2. What is our goal?
•Our goal is to create a documentary for BBC 3 that is
about ‘culture in the digital age’ this can mean
anything to do like the internet or social media etc..
and how it has had an effect on our culture
•The target audience is 16-24 year olds and our aim is to
get them to think about the impact of the digital age
on our society
•The documentary should be between 10-15 minutes
long
3. Client research
• The client we are working for is BBC 3, they are part off the BBC conglomerate
which is owned by The department for culture, media and sport.
• They come on after 7pm and have a 9pm watershed for viewers, they go off air
around half 3 in the morning which is prime for our target audience as 16-24 year
old tend to stay up later than any other age group
• BBC 3 are known for mainly airing reality shows and documentaries/docuseries’
which focus on current day culture and attempt to make it interesting and light-
hearted for viewers easy enjoyment which is what I intend to replicate in my
documentary.
• The BBC was founded in 1922 by john Reith and recently celebrated its centenary
anniversary last year, the BBC follows the Reithian principals, inform-educate-
entertain.
