2. It is so important that you have all
the necessary materials at your
fingertips when you study. This
will avoid the need to stop and
‘go find’ the things you need. By
stopping you break the flow of
concentration and this causes
frustration if you cannot complete
your task because you don’t have
the ‘right tools’ for the job.

Make sure you have all
the equipment you need
for homework, revision
and exam preparation in
your study area at home.
Keep your bag free from
‘old lunches’, smelly
socks and anything else
you don’t need for
school that day.
Keep your locker neat and
orderly and clean it out on a
regular basis. Only keep in it
what you need for school.
Put a copy of your timetable
on the inside of the door.

6. If you are able to buy two of
everything then you can leave one set
of equipment at school and one at
home.
There is nothing worse than getting to
school and realising that you left what
you needed at home and vice versa.
If you cannot have two sets, make
your pencil case a priority when you
check off what you need to bring to
school or take home.

7. Buying files for each of your subjects is very
useful especially when it comes to revision
time.
If you have categorised and labeled your
notes well, this will be a great start to your
exam preparation.
If you use you computer to store your notes
electronically the same principles apply.
Make sure you label your folders effectively so
you can easily locate the necessary notes.

the way you set up you home
study, locker and school bag,
you will be amazed at how
much easier you will be able to
study and “get the job done’
