Reinventing the global supply chain
A team of peers on a bold mission
Timereaction takes a different approach to team communication: events
and conversations are side by side.
IDC’s study “The Intelligent Workspace”, illustrates the average worker
spends 13 hours per week on emails, 8.8 hours searching for information,
and 6.4 hours communicating & collaborating with team members.
“Things not only have to be seen to
be believed, but also have to be
believed to be seen”
Timereaction is not your fathers’ toolbox.
IDC expects the worldwide enterprise social
Software applications market revenue to grow
from $1.0 billion in 2012 to $2.7 billion by 2017
A chain is only as strong as its weakest link
Even the best can't win on their own, it takes a team.
From source to destination, processes that need to synchronize product and
information flows are still being monitored manually in up to 49% of all
companies.
fn { 28(e), 514(p) = 5012 (a) }
How many emails and phone calls does this equal?
Process first, collaboration second
Collaboration is the outcome of shared activities and
Interactions that happen when people work together.
Technology create value by improving productivity across
the value chain, could potentially contribute $900 billion to
$1.3 trillion in annual value.
The single source of truth
Conversations are kept with your work, so you’ll spend less time
in email, and more time getting things done.
In 2010 Corporate users received some 200 mails per day, 18% of
which were spam.
Technology designed to get work done
We spend nearly half of our waking hours at work. Unfortunately, the
majority of that time is spent not doing our actual jobs.
By 2013, more than half of all new digital content will be the result of
updates to, and editing of existing information.
The future of collaboration - today
Tools that enable a new kind of simple, real-time connection
between people and companies.
$304 billion will be spent on enterprise software this year,
much of it — like enterprise social networks — purporting to
solve these problems.
Get everyone on the same page
Real-time work management and collaboration, making day-to-day
day work easier, more transparent and efficient.
99% of companies lack a single place to keep track of their work
about everything they’re working on.

Notas del editor

  1. Doing great things requires more than a great product, it requires a great culture and team as well. This way, you can communicate in a more structured environment, without email. When all of your work and communication are in one place, you’ll ultimately save time as a team and be able to get more done, with less effort.
  2. Collaboration is not a "thing," or layer, but is the outcome of shared activities and interactions that happen when people work together. Collaboration software should help participants make better decisions and improve the outcomes of ongoing or new business processes. This concept of "process first, collaboration second" is a relatively recent development that has emerged as the market for this software has matured.   The benefits of collaboration software and social products, in general, arise when they help people do their jobs faster, better and more efficiently. In other words, collaboration tools become useful when they help people get stuff done.
  3. Timereaction is the single source of information for your team. As your timeline progresses you’ve instantly build an archive that’s easily accessible whenever you need context or information.
  4. WE SPEND A MAJORITY OF OUR TIME AT WORK NOT DOING OUR ACTUAL JOBS We spend nearly half of our waking hours at work. Unfortunately, we spend a majority of that time not doing our actual jobs. Instead, we’re sitting in meetings, reading email, getting status updates, tracking down information, and doing other “work about work.” Technology that is centered on the work graph makes these coordination tasks simple, giving every person on your team more time to do real work. Instead of doing our actual jobs, we spend a majority of time sitting in meetings, reading emails, and tracking down information, according to a 2012 McKinsey report. Technology designed with the work graph in mind puts the work that needs to get done at the heart of the product. The work graph includes the units of work (tasks, ideas, clients, goals, agenda items), information about that work (relevant conversations, files, status, metadata), and the people involved with the work. All of this information is easily discoverable when you need it.
  5. CEOs are hoping for another boost in business productivity, but they can’t expect people to work much more, and their employees are already performing in less-structured and more cognitive ways that aren’t labor-intensive in a traditional sense. The answer will come from helping knowledge workers get more done by exploiting context. We’ll need tools that anticipate our intentions and fetch information on our behalf based on the work context at hand, without us even having to ask for it. Context trumps structure. Better tools will come from discerning our intentions and drawing relevant information into context automatically instead of relying only on fixed information structures. Fine-grained and tighter context. We will see the adoption of new patterns of user experience in our tools based on narrowing context and relying on finer-grained conventions of exposing and sharing information.
  6. What is the work graph? Timereaction isn’t a social network. To work together effectively, teams need to get organized around a work graph, — around the work that needs to be done, not the people. In a work graph, the unit of organization is a process, not a teammate. The work graph maps everything you are working on with your team: tasks, goals, conversations, documents and files, status updates, and then the teammates involved. 99% of companies lack a single place to keep track of their work, a definitive source of “truth” about everything they’re working on.  $304 billion will be spent on enterprise software this year, much of it — like enterprise social networks — purporting to solve these problems. The problem with many of these approaches is that they’re just ports of earlier technologies designed for connecting people, not for coordinating work.
