The document describes the design of an indoor stadium using Building Information Modeling (BIM). It discusses planning the stadium in AutoCAD, importing the plans into Revit for 3D modeling of the exterior and interior, and analyzing the structural elements using StaadPro. The objectives are to design the stadium according to building bye-laws and regulations while allowing for a retractable roof. Methodology includes site selection, 2D planning, 3D modeling in Revit, and structural analysis in StaadPro to design the columns, beams, slabs, and other elements of the indoor stadium.

2. The indoor stadium is a covered or a not covered enclosed area, often circular
or oval shaped, designed to showcase theatre, musical performances, or sporting
events.
It is composed of large open space surrounded on most or all sides by seating for
spectators.
The key feature of an indoor stadium is that the event space is the lowest point,
allowing for maximum visibility.
The sports facilities are of indoor kind for e.g., table tennis, carom. Chess,
gymnasium etc. sports are the integral part of the students life, so it is the
essential requirements of good educational institution.
It makes institution reputation higher and also increase the financial status.
3. College indoor stadium is an important indicator to measure universities
physical education, its function not only is required to meet college sports
education, sports event undertaking, but also it should provide social services
for mass sports activities development.
INTRODUCTION
The design guides provides design principles to achieving an appropriately high
quality stadium development that makes a positive contribution to the public
environment.
The stadium sites are ideally suited for its intended use, being large, flat and
also close enough to the city to be identified with its center and to facilitate
excellent access to all modes of transport.
Indoor stadium solves all the problems and limitation inherent in outdoor
stadium. You do not have to skip games because of the weather and you can
play in comfort in a controlled environment.
4. Building Information Modeling (BIM)
• Building Information Modeling (BIM) is the foundation of digital
transformation in the architecture, engineering and construction
(AEC) industry. As the leader in BIM, Autodesk is the industry’s
partner to realize better outcomes for business and the built world.
• It is the holistic process of creating and managing information for a
built asset. Based on an intelligent model and enabled by a cloud
platform, BIM integrated structured, multi-disciplinary data to
produce a digital representation of an asset across its lifecycle, from
planning and design to construction and operation.
• BIM software is used by individuals, business and government
agencies who plan, design, construct, operate and maintain buildings
and diverse physical infrastructures, such as water, refuse, electricity,
gas, communication utilities, roads, railways, bridges, ports and
tunnels.
5. Building Bye- Laws
• Building Bye-Laws are legal tools used to regulate coverage,
height, building bulk, and architectural design and construction
aspects of buildings so as to achieve orderly development of an
area.
• Building Bye-Laws are set of rules under which construction of
abuilding needs to take place. The rules regulate coverage,
height, architectural design and safety measures in order to
protect buildings against natural disasters such as earthquakes
and hazard such as fire as well as structural failures.
• Becomes easy to preplan the building activities. It provides
guidelines to designing engineers or architectures. It prevents
haphazard development without any resemblance with an area as
a whole.
6. Land and Building Plan Approval System (LBPAS)
• Recently Karnataka State Government has launched an official
web portal to provide land and building plan systems online. This
would be a very simple and attractive way to know about
building and land approval system
• The urban development department of Karnataka has launched
this port to provide people a hassle-free procedure for their land
and building plans. This would be a very transparent way to
provide people with their land and building plans.

The purpose of standards is to ensure and enhance
the safety, keeping careful balance between economy
and safety. In the present study G+2 building is
designed (Slabs, beams, Columns and Footings)
Revit software. In order to design them, it is
important to first obtain the plan of the building that
is, positioning of the particular rooms, that they serve
their respective purpose and also suiting to the
requirement and comfort of the users.

The maximum height of the building or part there of
shall not exceed twice the width of the street abutting the
building le plot plus twice the width of the yard from the
building to the abutting street and this height may further
be increased proportionately at the rate of 3 meters for
every 50cm by which the building or the corresponding
portion or floor of the building is set back from the
building line.

This research concluded that combination of
AutoCAD and Revit gave as a prefer & accurate
design as well as analysis report with low time
consumption. Also, we gave the advanced
retrofitting technique for construction &
economical usage of materials, because the
available qualified materials only used for this
study.

14. Importing AutoCAD plan to Revit
• Click insert tab Import panel (Import CAD)
• In the dialog , for files of type, select the desired file type.
• Navigate to the folder that contains the file to import, and select the file
• Specify options
• Click open
• If you choose to manually place the imported data, it displays in the drawing area and
moves with the cursor. Click to place the imported data.
• You may need to zoom in to see the imported dat.
