127 Redeemed to Evangelize

  1. Abraham asked an important question long ago when he said, NIV Far be it from you to do such a thing—to kill the righteous with the wicked, treating the righteous and the wicked alike. Far be it from you! Will not the Judge of all the earth do right?“ God will always do right because He is Righteous or Just.
  2. Emphasized: NIV The LORD is righteous in all his ways and faithful in all he does. NIV Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. The one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous.
  3. To be righteous He must punish sin. NIV God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well. NIV Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God: sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, provided that you continue in his kindness. Otherwise, you also will be cut off.
  4. Examples: Adam and Eve cast out of the garden; . Cain had a mark placed upon him, and he became a vagabond; . The old world destroyed in a flood; . Sodom and Gomorrah destroyed; . Egypt with the plagues; . Israel taken into Assyrian captivity; Judah taken into Babylonian captivity. Ananias and Sapphira died before God; .
  5. He will punish those who disobey today: NIV We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away. For since the message spoken through angels was binding, and every violation and disobedience received its just punishment, how shall we escape if we ignore so great a salvation? This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard him.
  6. NIV Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace? For we know him who said, "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," and again, "The Lord will judge his people." It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
  7. NIV See to it that you do not refuse him who speaks. If they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, how much less will we, if we turn away from him who warns us from heaven?
  8. NIV "Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life." NIV How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?
  9. Described: NIV They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might
  10. NIV The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. They will throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
  11. NIV In Hades, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. So he called to him, 'Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.'
  12. NIV they, too, will drink the wine of God's fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. They will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb.
  13. NIV But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death."
  14. NIV If your hand causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life maimed than with two hands to go into hell, where the fire never goes out. And if your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life crippled than to have two feet and be thrown into hell.
  15. And if your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell, where "'the worms that eat them do not die, and the fire is not quenched.'
  17. NIV And the smoke of their torment will rise for ever and ever. There will be no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image, or for anyone who receives the mark of its name."
  18. NIV "Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.
  19. NIV They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might NIV For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
  20. NIV As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead. , NIV This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.
  21. NIV They are wild waves of the sea, foaming up their shame; wandering stars, for whom blackest darkness has been reserved forever. NIV Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
  22. NIV Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
  23. NIV "Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life."
  24. Everlasting and eternal are the same Greek word αἰώνιος (aiōnios, ahee-o'-nee-os). However long the life is, that is how long the is.
  25. NIV They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might NIV And the smoke of their torment will rise for ever and ever. There will be no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image, or for anyone who receives the mark of its name."
  26. NIV For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad. Since, then, we know what it is to fear the Lord, we try to persuade others. What we are is plain to God, and I hope it is also plain to your conscience.
  27. “ ” Not supernatural beings. Angels will not do the work for us. The Holy Spirit does not do it for us. Nor will the Father or Son do this work. Not non-Christians, they would not teach saving Truth.
  28. Christians must do this work; God left the spreading of the gospel into our hands. NIV He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.
  29. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.“ NIV For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.
  30. NIV How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!" But not all the Israelites accepted the good news. For Isaiah says, "Lord, who has believed our message?"
  31. We cannot force people to accept the truth, only persuade. People are free moral agents, thus having the power of choice.
  32. NIV Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
  33. We don’t try to persuade God. He is supreme We must persuade those who are not Christians to become reconciled to God.
  34. NIV NIV
  35. There is a child in the road and we see a car is going to hit the child, would we do nothing & turn our backs to it, or try with all our being to save the child from being hit, even to the endangering of ourselves?
  36. Do we have the same desire for man’s salvation that Paul had for the Jew’s salvation? NIV For I could wish that I myself were cursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my people, those of my own race,
  37. NIV Brothers and sisters, my heart's desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is that they may be saved. The task of persuading people Jesus is The Christ is ours!! It is up to us to show them the Hope found only in Jesus. Are we fulfilling our task, doing the job at hand rescuing the perishing?
