This document provides examples of recognizing that the same meaning can be expressed in different grammatical forms. It contains two exercises that demonstrate this concept. The first exercise shows the same information presented in direct and reported speech. The second exercise demonstrates replacing a proper noun with personal pronouns and a possessive pronoun while keeping the same meaning. The document teaches that recognizing how meaning can be expressed differently through grammar is a micro skill for reading comprehension.
