Indefinite Pronoun Agreement
An indefinite pronoun does not refer to a specific person, place,
thing, or idea (often do not have antecedents)
Some are always singular; some are always plural; some can be
either singular or plural (which one do you think is the most
difficult?)

Everyone likes to think that (he or she/they) will leave a mark on
the world.
We all want to create something, and we hope (it/they) will outlive
us.
Some take an unusual approach; for (him or her/them), a time
capsule is the answer.
Anyone who assembles a time capsule hopes that (he or she/they)
can send a message to the future.
However, non of the people knew that (his or her/their) slide rules
would become outdated in just a few decades.
One of California's tar pits acts as a time capsule because (it/they)
contains people's throwaways.

Point of View: How would Johnny Tremain be different if it was
written from someone else's point of view? What else would you
know? What wouldn't you know if it was written from a
character's perspective?
