Youth Programmes Coordinator and Senior Administrator
The Youth Programmes Coordinator role was an exciting shift in my career as I took on the responsibility of two
youth programmes as well as co-coordinating a large and complex intensive summer programme. This
included, marketing, recruitment, planning and organising events and programme sessions, youth work
delivery and, working with and reporting to national bodies and corporate sponsors. I took on the secondary
role to support the organisation through a series of changes and have implemented a variety of new
administrative and financial systems which has improved operations and the public facing reputation of the
charity.

Employed initially as Project Administrator, I was promoted to Office Manager and fundraising assistant in
January 2011. I handled the day-to-day running of an 8 person (paid and voluntary) office, including finance
(accounts and budgets), general HR, communications (internal and external), events and all administration
(meetings, minutes, systems development and maintenance). In addition, I provided the Director with
fundraising support; mainly grant research, providing financial statistics, editing and assisting in bid writing.

Research Projects Assistant
Working for the Department for International Public Health, I was the administrator for the lead team on two
large scale (£6 million +) research projects with worldwide partners, mainly African. My main tasks were
related to travel arrangements and events (mostly workshops in UK, Zimbabwe, Uganda and Tanzania). I
2. organised and minuted multiple meetings; I also assisted in the management of complex financial systems put
in place by the Government (DfID) and the European Union.
