2. Islands
In Denmark we have a lot of islands. In fact we have
446 islands. Some are big, and some are very small.
We will only tell you about some of them.
One of the biggest island groups is called the Faroe
Islands. They rule their own land, like Greenland,
but belong to the Danish kingdom.
Greenland is the biggest island in the world. But the
population is only about 57,000.
The Faroe Islands consist of 18 islands, but there are
only people on 17 of them. The Faroe Islands are
known for their hot springs.
3. The smallest is-
land is Lilleø,
that means
”small island”.
The least popu-
lated island is
Vorsø. Only one
is living there!
The main island is
Sjælland, there are
about 2,000,000
people living there,
and the capital Co-
penhagen is located
there.
