Culinary Manager
Since Feb 2010
I was born in Mexico City on December 7th, 1968 and grew up in
the state of Veracruz, Mexico. I graduated in November, 1994
from Cristobal Colon University in Veracruz City with a Bachelor’s
degree in business with a major in tourism.
My experience started in 1992 in small hotels in my hometown of
Veracruz City and I worked in all the areas of the hotels, from
dishwasher to front desk where I developed a great passion for
hospitality and food and beverage.
I started spending my summers doing internships in Cancun,
Mexico in 1992 and after graduating from college I moved there
permanently to start my career in the food and beverage field.
I worked at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel from 1994 to 1996 where, as
part of a team, we achieved a “5 Diamond Award” for the hotel and
in our two fine dining restaurants.
I started my Management career in 1998 at the Camino Real Hotel
where I was the General Manager for the seafood restaurant “La
Brisa”. We won a “4 Diamond Award” for the restaurant in 1999.
I moved to Madison, Wisconsin after I married my wife Kate in
2000 and I started working at the Marriot Hotel as a Banquet
Supervisor. I have also been Food and Beverage Director for
Radisson Hotel, Devil’s Head Resort and Holiday Inn Hotel and
Suites.
My career with Red Lobster Madison started in 2007 as B&H
Manager and I’m currently the Culinary Manager.
