2. What is Healthy Hampshire?
• A collaboration between local municipal leaders, non-profits,
service agencies, healthcare providers, local businesses, and
community members
• A local Mass in Motion initiative (MA Department of Public Health)
• Administered by the City of Northampton in partnership with the
Collaborative for Educational Services
• Work with the Hilltown Community Health Center as a clinical partner
• Mission: improve the health of all residents of Hampshire County
by working with municipal and community leaders to effect
changes to community policies and systems that will promote
access to healthy foods, opportunities for physical activity, and
chronic disease prevention.
