CALENDAR LISTINGS –
Spring Break 2011 (March 12-20)
SPRING BREAK DISCOVERY CAMP
March 14-18, 2011
Museum of Nature & Science in Dallas’ Fair Park
Being out of school gives kids to get into new discoveries – like finding the fun in nature,
science and history! The Museum of Nature & Science is presenting Discovery Camp each day
for the week of March 14 – 18. This year’s themes include dinosaurs, wizards and mummies!
GIRL SCOUT COOKIE CREATIONS
It’s a delicious new way to look at dinosaurs! Girl Scouts from North Texas got really creative
with boxes of their world-famous cookies and built giant “cookie-sauruses.” And, since the cookie
creations are showcased in the MNS Lobby, you’ll see how they stack up with the life-sized
dinosaurs of the Dinosaurs Unearthed exhibit!
The Girl Scout Cookie Creations display is FREE for members and included with the cost of
general admission for non-members.
TRAVELING EXHIBITS
Shows “visiting” the Museum during Spring Break include the blockbuster Dinosaurs
Unearthed and the “infinitely” fun Math Midway. Math Midway is free with general admission,
while Dinosaurs Unearthed requires a surcharge - Non-members are $5, MNS members are $3.
Children under 2 are free.
2. PLANETARIUM AND STAGE SHOWS
Planetarium Building (1620 First Ave. in Fair Park)

Fire & Ice performances can be seen March 12-20 at 3:00 p.m. and also at 1:00 p.m. on March
12.

Adventure and our brand-new movie, Mummies: Secrets of the
Pharaohs. Please check website for showtimes.
