I have contributed to international standardization, research, evangelization, education, and practical applications of XML and EPUB. XML:I was a member of the original XML WG that created XML I contributed to schema languages (RELAX NG and NVDL) for XML as a co-editor.. OOXML: I have convened ISO/IEC JTC1/SC34/WG4, which maintains OOXML. EPUB: I lead the Enhanced Global Language Support sub-group of the IDPF EPUB WG This subgroup was responsible for the I18N of EPUB 3. I hold a Doctor of Engineering from Tsukuba University.
