Letter of Recommendation for MADS HERMANN
To whom it may concern:
I am delighted to be a reference for Mads Hermann, who took my class on
Engineering Innovation and Entrepreneurship as an exchange student in the fall semester
of 2006.
Mads was one of the top students in the class. He was always prepared,
participated actively in the class discussions and often brought a new and insightful angle
to the issues under discussion.
This class requires students to develop a product and write a business plan. Mads’
team didn’t just treat this as a class project but did the investigation for an actual clothing
design and manufacturing business with production facilities to be set up in China and
retail outlets in Denmark. It was very well-researched and one of the best among the
dozens of plans submitted for the class. Mads is very bright and is often the spokesman of
the group. He is responsible and earnest, and works well with his teammates.
Mads has really made good use of his time in Hong Kong. For my course alone, he
has put in a lot of effort in trying to understand the business situation for entrepreneurs in
Hong Kong. Within a few weeks, he was offering information to the class that he has
learnt from the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. I have to say that he knows
more about the local environment for small businesses than most of his fellow students
who grew up in Hong Kong!
It was really a joy to have Mads in the class. I recommend him most highly.
